Send USDT0 to Stellar
Send USDT0 from another chain and receive USDT0, USDC or XLM on Stellar.
USDT0 travels to Stellar over LayerZero and arrives as USDT0, the Stellar asset issued by
GATISXX6BZ6NC7IKQBY37CJD4SOZL3CYZJWXEDG6JVIY4WBS6KXJHN6Q. If you add USDT0 to a Stellar wallet by
hand, check that issuer: anyone can issue an asset with the code USDT0.
USDT0 moves on Stellar's main network. On the test network, the LayerZero route declines with a sentence that says it carries no token there.
Choose USDT0
On the Send to Stellar card, switch the asset next to the amount from USDC to USDT0. Two
things change:
- Send now lists the chains USDT0 leaves from: Arbitrum One, Berachain, Ethereum, Flare, Hyperliquid EVM, Ink, OP Mainnet, Polygon, Rootstock, Sei Network, Unichain and X Layer.
- Receive on Stellar offers
USDT0,USDCandXLM. WithUSDCorXLM, the USDT0 that arrives is converted on Stellar, and the recipient approves that conversion in a Stellar wallet and pays its network fee in XLM, as described in Receive XLM instead.
The receiving account
A Stellar address that does not exist yet can receive USDT0. The sponsor covers the account's reserve and a small part of the arriving USDT0 pays it back, as Send to a new Stellar address describes.
An account that exists and cannot hold USDT0 yet gets a step, before the send, in which it allows USDT0. The sponsor covers that reserve the same way, paid back from the USDT0 that arrives. On a deployment whose sponsor covers no reserves, the account pays it from its own XLM instead, and an address that does not exist yet is declined with how much XLM to send it first.
Fees and time
LayerZero charges its delivery fee in the sending chain's own currency, on top of the amount you send. The fee is part of the send transaction your wallet asks you to approve. Any part of it that is not needed is refunded to your wallet.
Where the USDT0 contract holds the token rather than burning it, as on Ethereum, sending takes up to three prompts: clearing an earlier allowance, approving this amount, and the send. The app skips the first two when they are not needed.
The estimated time depends on the chain you send from, and the quote shows it for that chain.
After you send
A USDT0 transfer appears under Activity like any other, and you can find it again from the transaction you sent.
