Finish a delivery
Deliver a Circle transfer to Stellar yourself when it is taking longer than expected. Trying again never delivers twice.
A Circle transfer reaches Stellar in two parts: Circle attests the transfer, then a delivery transaction on Stellar mints the USDC to the recipient. If the page was closed before the delivery, or the delivery is taking longer than expected, you can trigger it yourself.
Finish it
- Open Activity and find the transfer from the transaction you sent.
- When the transfer can be finished, a Finish the delivery button appears under the result. Press it.
The card then shows one of these:
- Delivered. The funds are on Stellar.
- Circle has not attested it yet. Nothing is wrong, followed by how long attestation takes from the chain you sent from. Press Finish the delivery again after that.
- A sentence that says what stopped the delivery and what to do about it.
Why trying again is safe
Each Circle transfer can be delivered once. Pressing Finish the delivery for a transfer that already arrived changes nothing, and the card reports it as delivered. Delivery explains how this is enforced.
When your Stellar wallet is asked
The sponsor pays for the delivery. Your Stellar wallet is asked only in these cases:
- The address did not exist yet and the account was never set up. The card asks you to connect the recipient's Stellar wallet, sign the repayment again if the sponsor no longer holds it, and set the account up.
- The deployment's sponsor covers no costs. The recipient's Stellar wallet signs the delivery and pays its network fee from its own XLM.
